Poetry: Commonwealth of Learnedness
Commonwealth of Learnedness
Two dozen thoughts of learnedness flank the eyes
For what learnedness espouses surprises even the unlearned Isles
In this commonwealth where everything lives dies
Leaving no condolences upon the heavy laden eyes
Oh, truth upon the wings of learnedness dies.
In this justly equitable commonwealth
Flies learnedness in sane madness
Yes, beautifully spirited saneness, nay, madness
Perhaps, such a camouflage; and a whited sepulchre
So has the leaderboard of my just commonwealth.
A commonwealth
But not common wealth
For what is common loses its health
Into the thin air of commonness
And everything becomes a mess.
Learnedness is, but no indication of prattlement
In a ship where justice, truth and practice reigns
Yes, they are learned, and want us learned
As learned as they are, they prowl like lions
In an assembly of liers
Pardon, nay liars but liers who lie on golden beds
Roaring and growling
Upon heavy_coated attires
Hopping like frogs over one another
Hissing and gnashing teeth, neighbour against neighbour
Like serpents that have caught over
The million tongues of swallow
In an eventful dance style of delibrating learnedness
And of heavenly duel one cannot bless
After happy sorrow of duels
Comes pleas of incoordinate incorporation
A blathered screen of euphoria
An arena in this common wealth
Of learned bicameral skulls
As experienced as the officer
The seaman, overrides his judgement
Should the captain be shrouded
With mystic skills of competence?
Should he loose the grip of his captain band
And lose his captainship among his seamen?
A soldier with mere skills without practice?
Yea, no, in this wealth that is not so common
A soldier with mere prattle skills
Skipper who uses driving for skippering
A captain blade
Moulded with cicatrices of just corruption
A commendable forgery of reputation
Of mastery and qualifications
Ah! These are the voices aboard
But, should this be true?
Could this be reality through?
Oh shame, dost thou show thy name
Upon the borows of fame
Why? Fameworthy it is to mention
A news so pleasant even to an unlearned ear
Such is the news which defines all ears fools
Oh, how the Sun watchs from below
The sanity of learnedness that takes place above
And rains down rays of smiles
Upon the blind wise fools
Again, how has the mighty serpent of old
Grown suddenly so
Like a tree planted by the seashore
Like the Cedars of leban
Hundred cubits in length
Fifty cubits in breath
Thirty cubits in height
Say Noah's masterpiece
So large like a first generation vaccum tube
Whose magnetic drum consumes
A thirty and six million files in a commonwealth
Where learnedness is, but no Indicate
Of saneness, but of monstrous fame and corruption.
What sort of ignorance and consensual mumuness
Escape the wisdoms of these wittics
To spray such foul fragrance
Upon a not-too-foolish nostrils?
Look again, through the rays of the sun
And you shall find therein, this commonwealth
Herbivorous gorillas turned into cockroaches
Desiring papers instead of herbs
Six points and eight a million papers
By one innocent herbivorous animal.
The evil that men do lives with them
Not after, lest, the innocent inheritors rejoice
Alas! From where come this?
The Sahara desert
Come the rays of nakedness
Of one speck of lecturing stone
But for the goodness of high pedestals
Upon weak hyenas?
Shame, shame, I mean fame the pillars
Of learnedness, comes such foul fragrance
Nakedness for scores.
Two dozen thoughts of learnedness flank the eyes
For what learnedness espouses surprises even the unlearned Isles
In this commonwealth where everything lives dies
Leaving no condolences upon the heavy laden eyes
Oh, truth upon the wings of learnedness dies.
